Websites are not being remembered in the location bar, despite the autocomplete feature being set correctly. This is very frustrating. Can anyone tell me why this is happening, please?

Make sure we are talking about the same thing. Autocomplete is for filling in forms.

I think what you want is Options>Privacy>Location Bar>...suggest Nothing is probably what you are showing. Switch to History/Bookmarks as you wish.
