For the first re-start of Firefox after exiting when in Firefox Safe Mode, click on the Firefox Windows desktop icon (without holding down the shift key). Do not use the shortcut on the "Recently used programs" list for the first re-start.

I've tried that. I've also gone in from all programs link as well. Thank you though.

-> Open My Computer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\

  • right-click firefox.exe and click Proporties -> in General tab, make sure only firefox is written in the textbox -> click OK
  • Open firefox.exe

Check and tell if its working. You can Modify previously created Firefox shortcuts as mentioned here.

Make sure that you do not press the Shift key while clicking the desktop icon or use a shortcut key with only the Shift modifier.
