Why do buttons on websites no longer work?

I tried to set up accounts on Delicious and Surf Scout but these sites would not operate. The buttons I tried to use to enter sign-up info simply refused to respond. What's going on?

Not knowing where to look for such buttons, can only suggest that you make sure that JavaScript is enabled. ["Alt"] > Tools > Options > Content > Enable JavaScript
