Pictures don't load half of the time... what's up with that?

I find that, most pictures don't automatically load in Firefox (and it doesn't matter which version I am using, either). This happens on any computer, not just the ones I have at home. Some of the emails I get daily are strictly picture emails, and I'm finding that I have to reload the page a couple of times to get all of the pictures to show up. That, or I have to right-click and then hit "reload". It's quite annoying. Is this a bug, or just how Firefox works?

Did you check your security software (firewall)?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
