Turn off NumLock, hope you have a NumLock key on the computer with an indicator light on the keyboard for NumLock.

You can make use of CapsLock and NumLock sound a tone when pressed, it has one tone for on another for off. It's called "Toggle keys".

On Windows 7 it is controlled via Control Panel, Ease of Access Center: [Shortcut WinKey+U, then choose keyboard]

Make the keyboard easier to use: [x] Turn on Toggle keys (sound for Caps/Num/Scroll lock) -- it should be similar on your system.

Looks that you have a broken keyboard or you may have switched the keyboard layout.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If your keyboard has small letters (probably also colored) next to letters then you more than likely have the function key (Fn) stuck.
