I suddenly lost the rigt colors on most (but not all) jpg or gif in certain web pages. It looks as if there is only 8 or 16 colors. The last software installed is LastPass.

I reinstalled version 4.01 thinking 5.0 could be the problem. No difference. On the same pages, IE shows no problem.

Chosen solution

This can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images.
You can disable color management to test that.
You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management.
You need to close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.
