down load PDF file, it duplicates into the hundreds in seconds

I am on a website and I click on a PDF file. When it downloads it never stops opening new tabs and duplicates the down load. There are a few hundred before I can shut it down. Clicking the red X in the right upper corner has no affect. Open task master to turn off Firefox is complicated because the yes/no prompts and task master get hidden everytime a new tab opens to an other duplicate of the PDF file. Windows 7 with 64-bit operating system, Viso- HP i7 860 @2.8GHz with 4 gigs. Foxfire Beta 5. Webroot anti virus with spysweeper. * Shockwave Flash 10.3 r181
