new Firefox not remembering settings or guessing domains

Ever since I updated to the new Firefox 4.0 it will no longer remember my changed settings. I changed my settings so that when I type into my location bar it searches on google but now I have to keep changing it as it keeps reverting back to the old settings. Plus, it will no longer perform domain guessing since I updated.

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".
