Everytime I change my laptops or start from scratch, do I have to configure firefox all over again (i.e. fast dial, add ons, appearance)? I only know how to backup and restore bookmarks. Where are all my configurations stored? Please someone tell me? Thank you MVitoi

On Windows 7 the profile folder is inside this folder:

C:\Users\<Windows username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

The user data is stored in the profile folder. You can copy the data manually by copying the contents of the profile folder, for details see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup or https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Backing+up+your+information

The free MozBackup utility that can make this process easier - http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/

Thank you TonyE! I will try the jasnapaka program, and also do it manually. Is it in App Data - Local - Mozilla? Or is it Roaming or elsewhere? Thanks again! Marcelo

Thank you, TonyE. On one of my notebooks I HAD to install Firefox 4.0 - which sucks big time! :-(((( Think I'll switch to Chrome! I used to like Firefox so much! :-(((( Tks again! Marcelo
