when i enter text in the search function on the home page nothing happens

after the last update, the home page search function leads me nowhere. no matter what text i enter in the search bar, and click on search... no action i run Windows XP on a pc

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
