adding a bookmark not working

I am using Firefox 4.0 RC, when I click on the yellow star to add a bookmark it will not do it. When I click on it a second time it will bring up the bookmark window to be able to add the bookmark. It happens for all web sites.

A single click on the Star saves the new bookmark to the Unsorted Bookmarks folder, a second click gives you the choice of where to save that bookmark.

Single click on the star is not saves new bookmark to the unsorted bookmark folder, it don't even come up.
