i have no froward or return arrow have ot close my browser every time i go to a web site

on my website i have no return button or forward button to use when surfing the web site so i can return to the site i was on in the first place. they are not on my tool bar and i can't get them on it. how do i do that. i have to quit the web site everytime i go to another area.
