My session has dissapeared, save for one window. How do i recover it?

A few days ago, i had a session of 4 windows (with several tabs) saved in Firefox so they would open up again when i next opened Firefox. They have worked fine for the past month, but today i only got one window back when i opened up Firefox. This has never happened before. How do i recover my lost session windows?

A few days ago, i had a session of 4 windows (with several tabs) saved in Firefox so they would open up again when i next opened Firefox. If you do not see those closed windows in "History > Recently Closed Windows" then the tabs from those windows are gone.

If you use the close X on the title bar to close a window then only the last closed window will be restored.
You need to use "File > Exit Firefox" to close all window to prevent losing windows in case you close the main window and others are still open.
