Since downloading 3.6.13, I can't see the far left of the screen on my MacBook

When I open Firefox, it loads my gmail page and I can't see the far left of the screen - basically the red, yellow and green "buttons" (exit, minimize, maximixe) as well as anything that is on the far left of the page!! It happens w/any web page I want to view!! HELP. I am sending this from Safari since I can't view the full page w/Firefox!!
