Ihave a MacBook with Norton anti virus protect. Norton is trying to add phishing protection. Told to up grade FireFox. i down loaded up grade. Cannot drag it to tool bar or docking station. If i do, the up grade does not take place.
After down loading the up grade. I drag FireFox to application folder. I am then instructed to drag folder to tool bar. I tried,it di not accept up grade. I then tried draging FF to docking station. It created a second FF icon. What am i doing wrong.

Firefox 22.214.171.124 is the last ever release for Mac OSX 10.3.9 and earlier versions. If that is what you have, get it here:
IIRC, Norton didn't have an anti-phishing extension for Firefox 2 versions, at least for Windows, their first was for Firefox 3. Check with Norton about that issue. http://norton.lithium.com/norton/
If you have Mac OS X 10.4 or newer then do this:
- Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
- Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
- Install the new version that you have downloaded.
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.
