All of the fonts in Firefox are blurry and pixelated compared to I.E.

Compared to Internet Explorer 8, everything in print, including tool bars and Help, in my FF browser looks like it has less resolution. The fonts are lighter (almost like the difference between bold and regular) and are VISIBLY pixelated. I'm brand new to FF and would like to keep it, but this is very annoying. Thanks for any help.

You can enable ClearType, used by IE as default.

Vista: Control Panel > Personalization > Window Color and Appearance > Effects: "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"
XP: Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Effects: "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"

Windows ClearType Tuner (online version only works with IE)
Microsoft typography: ClearType information

Thank you! That was simple - I never thought to look in Windows itself and was just searching the settings in Firefox. This has definitely fixed the blurry pixelation problem.

The font is still a little bit lighter than IE, but it's nothing I can't live with - any solution for that too?
