Since most recent firefox security update, firefox 10.6.11 will not keep retain blocked websites in Exceptions-Cookie when I shut down and some cookies still get through when on that website. What's the problem?

When I block website cookies in the Exceptions-Cookies window, they are cleared when I quit Firefox. Before most recent security update, I never had any problem with these settings being retained.

Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

If that didn't help or apply then it is possible that there is a problem with the file permissions.sqlite in the Firefox Profile Folder

In that case rename the file "permissions.sqlite" to permissions.sqlite.sav and delete hostperm.1 (if it exists, leftover from Firefox 2) in the Profile Folder in case the file is corrupted.
