How can I fix "Firefox is already running but is not responding"? Your site does not really tell me how to fix it.

Almost daily, when accessing a link in Outlook Mail, I will get the message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding.....restart your computer or close the session" (not sure of the exact wording).

Can you provide me with a fix?

Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the -no-remote switch or have set the environment variable MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 (Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment variables).
