After the 3.6.10 update, Firefox is asking for weird fonts, why?

After the last update, Firefox started asking permission to use fonts located on a external drive. These are weird fonts that were in a font folder I downloaded a few years ago. Also Firefox is making weird noises, like little bongs and cat hisses.
