I have a new laptop, and the script on both laptop screen & docked monitor look thin & weak vs. old unit. How do I get stronger-looking text?

Writing on all pages looks weak & faded versus appearance on other machines. Characters are not well-defined, almost like an old typewriter with a worn ribbon.

View is similar with other programs, but most apparent with Firefox. Graphics settings are on highest resolution available.

You can enable ClearType system wide for all programs to make other programs like Firefox use it.

Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Effects: "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts"
