I have a window I have to enter data into and I have the info saved as autotext. But there is no insert function key nor can I find one. Am I not able to insert autotext while in the mozilla firefox window?

Although possibly not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. You can get it for free, as always, at getfirefox.com.

As for your question, are you talking about form autocomplete? If that's the case, simply typing the first character of the designer line should bring it up. If you don't know what the first character is, just do this:

  1. select the desired field;
  2. type in whatever character (C for example);
  3. now delete it by pressing backspace;
  4. now press the down arrow key on your keyboard (alternatively, you can simply click the field in question).

A drop down with all available form autocomplete data should appear.

Did you try to copy that data to the clipboard and insert it from there with Ctrl+V (Edit > Paste) ?
