When I click onto the the selected site shortcut the my browser nearly allways opens into another search site ( Pro search is one)

Having used any search engine(yahoo, Google etc) to find a site I wish to connect to. I click onto the the selected site shortcut only to find that my browser nearly allways opens into another search site ( Pro search is one) The browser seems to be directed there via some Analytics type sites. This is mindblowingly frustrating . Can any body help please.
