My firefox browser keeps getting redirected to sites like "video cop" and other things I've never heard of. I keep getting pop under windows out of nowhere. What's wrong!? Adware, Spybot, and all my antivirus scans can't find anything!

When I click on links on google to go to search results, the computer often freezes or is misdirected to sites like "video cop." I've never had problems with firefox before, it's always been the most reliable browser - but now I'm getting pop-under ads too. I ran spybot, adaware, AVG, and a bunch of other scans but none of them detected any problems. HELP!!!!!!

Your issue may be caused by Malware. You can run and update the following free anti virus software:

1. Malwarebytes (Free version) - http://www.malwarebytes.org

2. Spybot Search & Destroy - http://www.safer-networking.org

3.Spyware Terminator - http://www.spywareterminator.com

In addition, there are a number of forums you can use to help get rid of your infection. These include:

I found one that really worked for me. Hitman Pro 3.5 I downloaded it to a flash drive on another pc and ran it from there on my pc. No problems after that.
