cant open firefox even when i go back and set a fresh restore point. tried everything....

If you close Firefox, then start Firefox in Safe Mode, does the problem still occur? For instructions on starting in Safe Mode, see Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. After you boot into Safe Mode try disabling extensions one by one to see if one of them is causing thzproblem. If not then try a new profile at Managing Profiles.
