every page i visit gets translated to spanish...i have uninstalled and re-installed in the english format but it still comes back in spanish

I downloaded the new version of Firefox and ever since - when I load it up it translates all my pages to spanish. I uninstalled Firefox and tried to re-install it in the english version....but it still translates every page I open into spanish. What is going on?

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

when I downloaded your new version 3.6.6.

Do you have the Google Toolbar installed?

i just downloaded Firefox 3.6.6 again this morning and it is still translating everything to spanish. and yes I do have the google toolbar installed.

I have the same problem. This started about a week ago I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox this morning bu the problem persists.

Anyone know the solution?

if you have the Google Toolbar installed there is an icon that is called "translate" in the toolbar. Right click on it and it will provide you options to set the translation to permanent English.

BTW...I found it on my own with NO help from the great experts at google. Hope it helps.

I just did experience this and it is so crazy, I had to load several pages and then was given the opportunity to stop translation into Spanish. The command came across the top of the web page. It did not help using the translator button on the Google tool bar until I opened additional sites. Just a little insight in case the option doesn't show when you right click the button.

I've been having the same problem. Following some of the advice already given, I found that if I right clicked on the google toolbar then on toolbar options > Tools, I put a check in the Translate box. Also clicked on Edit beside the translate box, and change the language to English. My pages now translate into English.
