Firefox upgrade to 3.6 repeatedly opens tabs when starting

more options

I have upgraded my version of Firefox to 3.6 (several times actually) but even after disabling ALL add-ons, and running a plain vanilla install each time I have a problem with Firefox 3.6 repeatedly opening tabs - then new instances of Firefox until the system has come to a halt. I decided to let it run this time until it stopped and it opened more tabs than would fit on the screen and in the dropdown on the right - then opened another instance and continues.

I have Firefox running on another system without any problems.

Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 - P4 3.2 GHz with 3GM RAM - 32-bit

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== I upgraded from 3.5 to 3.6

      • NOTE about above question... The system ADDONS shown are from the "other" machine - not the one in question.
