deleted profile, want to recover

Christopher Lee Gordon

Quick breakdown: I had my old boss's email loaded in Thunderbird for a short while Didn't want to be invasive after project ended Removed profile from Thunderbird Then Shaw and Rogers Merged - Sold email service too 3rd party Easy-On-Net Easy On Net dropped the ball and all of the historic folders and contents were lost when Shaw/Rogers severed their connection Can I recover up until the point I disconnected his old profile?

If you saved the full profile, including messages, then you have part of your objective. I suggest making a copy of that just to ensure it isn't lost. Your post indicates to me that you're in survival mode. That isn't a job for thunderbird, it's a time to access the account online and download whatever you can. If you're saying youre content with what you salvaged, here are my suggestions:

  1. install the addon, importexporttools NG
  2. then, highlight Local Folders and rightclick
  3. now, select the importexport option to import mbox
  4. when windows file explorer opens, select one of the message folders to recover These normally appear in sets of two, such as inbox, inbox.msf, sent, sent.msf, etc. The msf files can be ignored. The files you want will be in either the imapmail folder for IMAP accounts or the mail folder for POP accounts. If you need more assistance, please post screenshot of your imapmail or mail folders
