For background changes you want use https://connect.mozilla.org which is for ideas, as this site is for user problems.

So what do you think, is this a user query or a request for developers ??

How is your Firefox ESR installed? (preinstalled on the system, added via package manager or store?) How do you add language packs? (preinstalled via the system, from dependencies / package manager, or via the browser Settings options?)

What is your Linux distro and version?

Dear Sirs, thanks a lot for yr. quick reply. The actual version of Linux I use is Open Suse Leap 16.0. I'd just upgraded it from Leap 16.0 yesterday. My Laptop is still running with Leap 15.6. The German Language runs there anyway. Firefox ESR is preinstalled. Language packs are preinstalled.

Hope this will be helpful.

Best regards

Andreas

This might be better to really ask in OpenSUSE forums, but it appears that the necessary packages are available just fine, and were published at the same time: (could you make sure all your system dependencies are up to date? this looks like the two got out of sync…)
