Thunderbird fails to forward when using filters from 2 exchange accounts (of my 7 accounts)

I have two domain accounts; crumpcorp.com and dannycrump.com with GoDaddy. I have two E-mail accounts; [redacted] @crumpcorp.com and [redacted] @dannycrump.com. I use Thunderbird desktop Email. Thunderbird has the ability of use filters to perform automatic actions on messages received. One of the filters is “Forward Message To”. Unfortunately, attempting to forward messages fails. Thunderbird displays the following message:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

Please help with this issue.

Are you trying to forward mail to those addresses or from those addresses to another address?

Thank you so much for your quick response.

From the both accounts to my phone (a gmail account). My domain provider uses Microsoft Exchange 365 (if that helps)

I just tested it here and forwarding by filter should work.

Can you send mail from those addresses, is your SMTP server set correctly? Can you receive mail on your gmail address?

If that looks OK can you try to forward to another address?

Thanks for your help.

The 7 E-mail accounts are as follows:

    3 accounts using AT&T mail server (bellsouth.net)
2 accounts using Gmail mail server (gmail.com)
2 accounts using my custom domains provided by GoDaddy requiring the usage of Microsoft Exchange.

All accounts with send and receive. All accounts will manually forward. The 3 AT&T accounts will automatically forward by filter. The 2 Gmail accounts will automatically forward by filter. The 2 custom domain (Microsoft Exchange Mail Server) fail to forward automatically by filter giving the following error message:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

I am at my wits (what few I have) end.

Exchange is a different thing, I can't test that. Can you send (not forward) mail from your GoDaddy accounts? If not you may have to set them up again.

Thanks for your help with this matter.

I can both send and manually forward from the GoGaddy accounts.

What I cannot do is automatically forward (using filter) from the GoDaddy accounts.

I may have to give up on this issue and declare it NONSOLVABLE.

I deeply appreciate your efforts.

I'm sorry I can't help you here.

Perhaps you can set a filter on the GoDaddy account itself. If you can access them by webmail look for filters and redirect or something like that. I can do this with the email accounts I have with my ISP, perhaps you can too.

It's also possible to import other accounts into gmail: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/accounts

So to recap, only the exchange account is failing?

Thank you for responding. CORRECT. Only the exchange accounts are failing to automatically forward (by filter).

All accounts will Send, Receive, and manually Forward.

Is this with the OWL addon?

Hey Wayne.

Unfortunately YES.
