Removing Cookies and Site data works only some of the time.

How do you tell "some of the time"? Does it mean none of the sites get removed, or the size of the data doesn't decrease, or the interaction fails in some way?

Sometimes the data I select is gone after Saving. Sometimes it is still there.

The next time this happens, can you please take screenshots of the "Clear site data" panel afterwards (i.e. how much data is there to clean, and which checkboxes were selected the last time) — and if that were also to include caches please open about:caches, click "disk", and capture a few of the entries there — and attach it here? Thanks!

In my case, updating javascript code on a personal website is always not being seen by Firefox when I access the webpage. I am on a Windows 10 box (is this the problem?) and currently using Firefox 153.0.4. I've tried several options of clearing the cache via Firefox menu selections, but none work. If I copy the files in my website folder to another folder, accessing the webpage *does* see the updated code. This code testing on my website had been working up 'til a few days ago. I *did* update Firefox (from 153.0.2?, 152.*?) recently, but don't know if this is related.
