Thunderbird sends me spam reports, but I cannot open the mails considered to be spam, nor do I habe a spam file. I only have a junk file, but this does not contain the mails considered to be spam in the spam reports I get. Recently I received several mails I could not open because they ended up as spam. Why do I have a junk file, but not a spam file where I can decide if the mails are spam or not?

This follows my interpretation. That doesn't come from Thunderbird, but from 1und1.de, which is likely your internet/email provider. I do not know their options, but you will probably need to sign in online and locate the option to include spam in your mail instead of summarizing it for you.

Are these spam reports prepared by your email provider? That might indicate the suspected emails are being withheld at the server as a service to you. Possibly, a screenshot of a spam report may clarify that.
