History suddenly gone, and won't record anything new either

Ive had Firefox for many years, and am pretty ok versed in it's options and tools. Since a couple weeks my history is completely gone. It also won't record anything new. Im not in safe mode, not incognito mode, all the settings appear correct, yet still, won't record anything. Please help

I did the refresh, now my bookmarks are also gone, and I am unable to create any more
