Hello. We changed from the ESR channel to the regular release channel today by installing Thunderbird v146.0 (regular release version) over the top of our existing installation (which was the ESR version). The installation went fine and everything appears to be working perfectly. My only question is why the name of the profile didn't change. It still has a name of 'xxxxxxxx.default-esr'. I would have thought that the name would be changed to 'xxxxxxxx.default-release'. Is this something we should change, or should it be left alone. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Chosen solution

You can leave the name as is, or rename it from Help/Troubleshooting Info, about:profiles. Might be helpful if you have several profiles or multiple versions of TB installed.
