I received an email saying my account would be deactivated. it said "Your Mozilla account and data will be deleted in 7 days Your Mozilla account is used to access free privacy and browsing products like Firefox sync, Mozilla Monitor, Firefox Relay, and MDN. Your account and your personal data will be permanently deleted on Wednesday, Oct 1, 2025 because you haven’t been active"

is this a scam??? I didn't want to sing in as it might be a scam but i do not want my account deleted??? What should i do?

My email is [edited from public] @socal.rr.com

What Mozilla services you use your Mozilla Account for is listed at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/access-mozilla-services-firefox-account#w_what-services-can-i-use-with-a-mozilla-account

If you have not signed into your Mozilla Account for two or more years then you may get a message that it will be deleted in said time due to being inactive. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-account-deletion-inactivity

You do not need to use a Mozilla account in order to use the Firefox web browser. If the Mozilla Account is the same one as you used to login and post this thread on support.mozilla.org then that Mozilla Account should be considered Active now and should not be deleted.

edit: the Thunderbird email client does not use the Mozilla Account system.
