This is a new desktop computer and I cannot sign in toThunderbird. I have tried several passwords - no luck. I have had a code sent to reset but it still rejects the passwords It is working on the other desktop alongside on the desk. Help would be appreciated! Barrie

You do not login to Thunderbird but to your email providers server via Thunderbird. If you lost your account password you'd have to check with your email provider about password recovery options. Before that, can you login to your account via webmail, i.e. with a web browser?
