Anyone else experienced issues with Eclipse email service being able to receive but not send? It keeps rejecting the password even though it's definitely correct and works fine with the POP server.

I've checked the settings multiple times. Even Eclipse are stumped and they're not even giving support to email clients. They just push me to use the webmail facility which isn't very good.

TIA

SMTP settings as follows: Server name: smtp.eclipse.co.uk Port: 25 Connection security: None Auth method: Password, transmitted insecurely User name: <email address>

Error message is: "Login to server smtp.eclipse.co.uk with username <email address> failed"

First, be sure to enter full email address including the @ and remainder of address Second, I suggest trying combinations of 465 and SSL/TLS or STARTTLS and then 587 with SSL/TLS or STARTTLS as port 25 is insecure. That may not work, but it has for many users where they had been using port 25 for their accounts. Yours is the first I've seen, though, for eclipse.

Yep, tried all of those. My conclusion is that it's a problem at Eclipse's end.
