recently (the last few months) when i send a message to someone it duplicates it in my 'sent' folder so i have to go & delete one of them so i don't get confused
why is it doing this recently when i've been using thunderbird for over 1 yrs. & it's never done this before???

This happens with Gmail and Outlook accounts because a copy is automatic. what is your email account? If gmail or outlook, just untick the saving of the message
finally found the check box & unchecked it!!! it worked, thanks
