Thunderbird 138.0 x64 will NOT check ANY folders OTHER than the INBOX(ES) when started. Why not?
Thunderbird 138.0 x64 will NOT check folders for emails/messages OR deleted emails/messages (other than the INBOX folders) unless I FORCE it to by clicking through EACH folder, INDIVIDUALLY. And sometimes even THAT fails to see or note existing emails/messages sent previously OR saved for future reference. Yet I can WATCH it display processes as they work through various folders at the bottom of the "Home" page. Won't show any "changes of or to", DRAFTS, SENT, TRASH or any of my added folders such as ARCHIVE or SAVED EMAILS although my "email providers" (Spectrum, Gmail) show every email/message available in every folder.
What's actually going on? I don't understand and I ask for help here, please.
Oh, and Thunderbird MOBILE is even worse. If it's NOT at it's "polling time" (every 15 minutes or whatever) it doesn't get new messages unless or until I go to the "HOME" page and tap the "Check Now" (rotating arrow) Icon. Any help here?
Thanks for any help, other than "take a long walk off a short pier".

Chosen solution
Right click on a folder, select properties, check "When getting new messages for this account, always check this folder."
On the synchronization tab in folder properties, you might also check the option to "select this folder for offline use", though I do not know what that does that my first suggestion doesn't do.
I don't know about the Android version.
