Windows 11 and up to date using three accounts (One Pop3 and two IMAP). My Thunderbird application has suddenly refused to connect on this computer. I have three other computers and devices. They all connect easily. I have checked my log-in details and passwords, and done so comparing a laptops ability to log-in succesessfully and all details agree. I can log-in to my webmail account on all devices using the same details. amd I have updated Thunderbirdrd to the latest version. Nothing seem to work yet. Suggestions if possible would be fantastic please. Thanks. John

Check: Firewall - might be controlled by Windows default or controlled by an Anti-virus product you installed. Access Firewall Make sure Thunderbird is set up as an allowed program.

VPN Do you have a VPN which you recently enabled ? Some Anti-Virus products also offer a VPN and may have auto enabled it when you updated or installed the program.

Servers do not like VPN because it does not use the real computer IP address and therefore from a server point of view, you might be a hacker so server blocks commmunincation.

Please check your computer to see if a VPN is enabled and either switch it off or create a split tunnelling and set up Thunderbird to use it.
