The Subject Line is the first thing the recipient sees. So it's important that it be consistent with the message's text.

  • I may want to insert an emoji

For example, the Subject Line may be humorous. "You take yourself too seriously". Insert a LOL emoji

  • I may want to use a different font

The style of a font can suggest the theme or basic sentiment of the text.

Thanks for your help, SweetTasha

In short, RFC 2047 is I believe supported by Thunderbird. A good reference might be https://www.spamresource.com/2024/06/email-subject-line-encoding-decoded.html

But most email is sent following RFC 5322

Similar issue.. I can insert an emoji, but the emoji color is lost when email is received. Is there way way or setting so that the emoji color comes through to the person receiving the email?
