i use thunderbird 52.9.1 (64-Bit) on linux ubuntu 18.4.1

there seems to be an error in displaying "emojis" in subject lines. the emojis will be displayed very large instead on the subject line. this distorts the inbox screen.

attached you will find a screenshot of the graphics error.

thanks

Chosen solution

Either update to Thunderbird 60 which fixes the issue. or remove the emoji font ubuntu installs, if is not standards compliant.
