Do you have a rather small screen? Can you resize (enlarge to the right) the TB main window ?

I don't think so. It's a 24" 2k screen. This was never an issue until I created the new profile.

Can't you enlarge the main window to the right? Have you tried Thunderbird "Troubleshoot mode"? Which is the format of your video file? I wanted to upload a 3 MB .mp4 file which was refused.
