This started yesterday. When I click on a message to open it, the header appears but no text. If I delete the message the header info remains in the open message area and I have to restart Thunderbird to continue. This happens on many messages, but not all.

I cant open the email when clicking on the new one.

Try to rebuild the index file of the troubled folder.

Right-click the folder - Properties - Repair Folder
