Per Google I need to add double layer of security to my gmail as handled by my Thunderbird mail app on my desktop and laptop computers. I
I need to add the Two-layer security Google wants by Sept 30th. I have enabled Two-Layer Verification on my Google gmail account, and given a cell phone number for the system to call with a code. There is nothing for you to do in Thunderbird - two factor does not affect how you create or user gmail in Thunderbird.
