I have used Thunderbird email for a some time now. My internet provider is Consolidated Communications. Recently Thunderbird has given me this message when I tried to send an email: Password Required for Outgoing (SMTP) Server smtp.hickerytech.net Enter your password for clayton1@hickorytech.net. I've tried many times to enter my password to this message and it has not worked. Help please!

I tried a number of services and most of them failed to find your domain in DNS to perform their checks.

As the SMTP server is a sub domain of hickerytech.net locating it on the internet is just going to fail as it's parent has no DNS record to provide a bread crumb trail for name servers to follow.

The domain does appear to be registered to Name:Consolidated Communications DNS Organization:Consolidated Communications DNS Street:121 S. 17th Street City:Mattoon State:IL Postal Code:61938

Perhaps they are your hosting service and you need to contact them.
