After update 121 all logins are gone
Hi everyone,
so I just started firefox on windows 10 and updated it to version 121 and after that all my saved passwords are gone. Completly. Tried to restore them over my ios firefox but because of the sync feature it had already replaced the saved passwords there too. What is odd, that I am still logged in on couple of websits but the login data for them is nowhere to be found... Ofc I don't have any backup so I am probaly screwed here. I don't understand how that could happen in the first place... Has someone else experienced this or mabye has any advice how to resolve this? Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards Fabian

Our developers have finished their investigation and an update for Firefox for iOS has been published. This is version number 121.1 and we strongly recommend that you update to this as soon as possible.
If you experienced data loss with the previous update we apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
You may be able to recover your logins through one of two ways:
- Use an existing backup of your Firefox profile that you may have taken (see this support article) or,
- Take a backup of your Firefox profile (this article will help). Keeping Firefox closed, find the file named logins-backup.json. Take a copy of it, rename it to logins.json replacing the existing file with the same name.
We apologise that this has happened. Work is being done internally to reduce the chances of this happening again but we appreciate that this does not make up for the disruption this has caused you.

Got an update on the situation: luckily, I did have a backup ready. Complete windows backup, just a couple days old, totally forgot about that. Anyway, after restoring the hard drive I opened Firefox without an active internet connection. Passwords were all back, saved them this time. A soon as I reconnected the logins were gone again. Maybe an issue with the mozilla account and synchronisation? Replacing the logins.json with the working one from the backup didn't help. Still no logins.
Well, crisis averted, but somebody might still wanna take a look into this issue.

Thanks for the reply. As I mentioned before I could recover my logins by using a backup. But it's good to know the issue has been fixed. Keep up the good work ;)
