Can't send emails
I am getting the following message when I try to send an email. Nothing has changed in my settings but I did access my email via my phone last night (which I seldom do):
Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <garyshook@roadrunner.com> sender rejected. The email address you are sending as must match the email address you used to auth. Please check your SMTP settings. AUP#Out-1500. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.
I have no idea what to do.. looked in settings but was lost. Any help appreciated.

THe SMTP server is set for one email address and your account is set for another. This is fairly common when people have multiple email accounts and accidentally use two or more on the same SMTP server.
Thank you David. I understand the issue but don't know how to fix it. I have used my phone many times to check my mail but have never run into this before. I do have a legacy email address, an adelphia.net address, that still works, it was replaced by a roadrunner.com address when Spectrum took over my cable. Exactly what do I change in the settings to fix this? My account name?... I am sorry but I am old and this is difficult.
Check the account pane at 'account settings' and the SMTP page at 'account settings', scroll down left side to 'Outgoing servers SMTP and click the appropriate server. It's email address must be the same as the one on the account. If unsure, please post screenshots and I'll assist.
