latest version of firefox....update now?

I keep getting promts to update firefox to the latest version about every 10 days, why is this? or could it be a scam? I find it unusual to get so many prompts popping up quite regularly to upate firefox, most other programes that I run on my win pc don't do this

It isn't a scam. Google's browser updates about as often.

Firefox 119.0 is the current Release as of October 24. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/119.0/releasenotes/

The Fx 118.0.1 and Fx 118.0.2 minor updates for Fx 118.0 were for security and stability fixes.
