ever since i got firefox whenever i play a video, sometimes green rectangles pop up instead of pixels and the only way to fix it is to make the quality so low i can barely even see it anymore.

ever since i got firefox whenever i play a video, sometimes green rectangles pop up instead of pixels and the only way to fix it is to make the quality so low i can barely even see it anymore.

Updating your graphics drivers from the manufacturer's site may fix it.

Otherwise you can disable hardware acceleration generally or just for videos by going to about:config and changing media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled to false then restart the browser.

Anything relevant-looking reported in the Web Console ?

A green rectangle usually means that Firefox isn't able to draw the media player and thus you see the green background instead of the player overlay.
