When I try and register Thunderbird as my email server I fill in all the exact information as I am using with my present server but Thunderbird say the settings are incorrect. How can I register Thunderbird to receive emails?

Tell us what settings you are using. Just to be clear, Thunderbird is not an email server; it is an email client, which handles the other end of email server communications.
